Boosting Sales: A Simple Formula

members'Reader,

Want more sales? Not loving the rate at which you are making sales.

Every sales process has a few layers...

First - The offer.

You can't out market a bad offer.

You can dress it up - but if it's not something people want, you have to ask yourself, is it the right offer. But, most people change their offer too soon. So, before you go messing with your offer ask yourself this...

Have enough of the RIGHT people HEARD and seen my offer REPEATEDLY.

Here's how to do that...

Take your sales goal (let's go with something easy, like 10).

Multiply that by 25. So, we've got 250.

That means, at a MINIMUM you want at least 250 people to have heard and seen your offer 7-10 times.

For a launch that means 250 people ON THE LIVE while you pitch, more than once.

Didn't have that many live? Okay, then do you have 250 people in ACTUAL conversation that your team is getting through replays and making sure the offer is in front of them?

Not 250 registrants. Not 250 attending overall live.

250 people who KNOW the offer. And have engaged with it more than a couple of times.

Not launching? Okay - want 10 sales this month?

Have you put your offer in front of 250 people?

To yield that, you would want close to 1000 in conversation, knowing many won't be at a point of relationship where they are ready for an offer.

Use email to sell? That's awesome, we do too.

That means you want 250 opening all of the sales emails and CLICKING the link to your page multiple times.

For most people, this is where things break down.

They just don't have enough volume of activity.

If you DO have enough volume, then you start looking at things like:

  • The offer itself
  • The sales page
  • The bonuses and pitch

If you are an exceptional closer, expert at the pitch, or skilled copywriter, you can multiply your sales goal by 10.

But keep an eye on volume; if you need more volume of sales, you need more activity.

Other things to consider:

If no one is buying at all (after repeated exposure to offer) - you probably have either an offer or positioning problem.

You want to look at how you are framing the offer, and the outcome people get by joining.

A sales process can break down in a bunch of different places, but it can also be turned around pretty quickly when you know what you are looking for!

If you need some support with your sales process, I do VIP days with businesses once a month. Right now, a VIP day is $7000. In March, it will increase to $10,000.

If you want to lock in your day (even if it's a few months from now) at this price point...

We can meet in person (South Carolina), or virtually...

You and your team...

And we can cover everything from content strategy, to lead generation, to your A to Z sales process...

So you are crystal clear on where the breakdown is and how to fix it.

Hit reply, and we will get something on the books!

Reader, This week's newsletter is super practical... We are breaking down different ways to turn your followers into sales conversations... Scripts included. Let's dive in. Here’s where most people overcomplicate this: They think sales conversations start when someone says “I’m interested.” They don’t; they start the moment someone enters your world. And if you’re not intentionally guiding the conversation from start to finish… You’re letting leads fall through the cracks. So, let's change...

Reader, We've been talking a lot about content this month... How informational content has to create a gap instead of just giving away steps. How hope content has to be grounded in proof, not just feel-good quotes. But there's a third thing happening that I haven't talked about yet. And honestly? It might be the biggest offender when it comes to your content attracting LURKERS and FREEBIE seekers instead of buyers. Because it doesn't feel like a mistake... It feels like the RIGHT thing to do....

Reader, Last week, we talked about informational (How-To) content... This week, we are talking inspirational content, or what we call HOPE content. And this kind of content strategy is EVERYWHERE. “Inspirational content is what builds connection.” “People buy based on emotions." “Just share your heart.” And yes. Emotion matters. People do buy based on emotion and back it up with logic. That's true. But emotion ALONE isn't enough. They need BELIEF. Emotion triggers belief, but if all you are...
