Sales Scripts to Turn Followers Into Buyers

Here’s where most people overcomplicate this:

They think sales conversations start when someone says

“I’m interested.”

They don’t; they start the moment someone enters your world.

And if you’re not intentionally guiding the conversation from start to finish…

You’re letting leads fall through the cracks.

So, let's change that!

1. The Welcome Message (Open the loop and get engagement started)

This is not where you sell.

This is where you start a conversation with intention.

Script:

Hey {name}, thanks so much for following!

I'd love to get to know you better, but before we chat, can you let me know you got this message? Sometimes things get lost in the shuffle with these algorithms, so just reply with a "Got It" so I know this went through!

2. Qualifying Question #1 (start qualifying)

Now that they’ve responded, we don’t drift into small talk.

We lead.

Script:

Perfect, thanks for that!

Quick question… what are you currently focused on most in your business right now? {Or replace this with a specific qualifying question}

Is it:

1-Getting consistent leads

2-Increasing sales

3-Increasing retention

4-Optimizing your team

Why this works:

You’re not asking open-ended questions that make people have to think too hard... you're simply getting more info to qualify them, so you know what kind of offer to make.

3. Qualifying Question #2 (identify the real gap)

Now we take it one step deeper.

Not just what they want…

But what’s actually slowing down their progress? The goal? Qualify further.

Script:

Got it, that’s helpful.

When it comes to {insert what they chose}, what’s been happening so far?

Are you:
1-Getting some results, just not consistently
2-Not seeing much traction at all
3-Getting results, but not quick enough
4-Not fully sure what’s working vs. what’s not

Why this works:

This is a completely different layer of information.

You’re no longer asking, “What do you want?”

You’re uncovering a deeper layer of the problem to determine how to best steer the conversation!

That distinction is what allows you to:

  • tailor your response
  • position the right offer
  • increase conversion without pushing

4. The Offer (make the next step obvious)

Now this part only works if you're getting good info from the above questions, which means you have to ask the right questions.

You can keep asking qualifying questions if you feel like you need more info, or make a small offer. This should be a freebie (opt-in to your list), or an invite to a free workshop, or a sales call, or a low-ticket offer under $50.

That makes sense, and that's super common; we work with lots of business owners with the same issue!
